EFR & Rescue

PADI EFR & Rescue Diver Course

PADI Rescue Course

The PADI Rescue Course that we provide at our dive shop is one of the most fun courses you undertake. It increases your confidence and diving ability well beyond the level you are currently at while teaching you how to assist with diver situations as and when they occur…

The Emergency First Response Course is PADI’s version of a First Aid course. If you already have this, bring evidence of your existing qualification to save 4,000 THB from whichever package you choose.

All our training is offered in a maximum group size of 4:1 to assure each student receives ample attention, which creates more than competent, confident divers while having great, safe fun! If smaller instruction is desired, please request on the email and we are happy to arrange!

More Information On this Schedule

Upon arrival we shall collect you from the pier and bring you to our shop, and help you getting to your accommodation. We shall then complete the EFR Course.

The morning is used for the Rescue Diver Video, and covering some theory with your instructor. Then in the afternoon we head to the boat to complete some shallow water training exercises, where you will deal with panicked snorkellers and divers, and more.

Again the morning is used for the Rescue Diver theory, and the Rescue Dive Exam. Then in the afternoon we head to the boat to complete some training scenarios as well as your “Hell Dive” – a dive where everything that can go wrong will go wrong!

The timing on this training session can vary between morning or afternoon depending on the individual. During this session you will assume the position of responsibility on the boat, dealing with all scenarios as they arise to test your retention of the past few days.

After becoming certified as a Rescue Diver, there are a few main routes to continue. Firstly, you may decide to Fun Dive with us. Our ex-student rate is 800 THB per dive!

Or perhaps you wish to expand upon your abilities, which is offered through specialties. The most popular being the Deep Diver Specialty, which certifies you to 40m, the Wreck Diver Specialty, which allows you explore the inside of wrecks, and Enriched Air Nitrox, which allows you to dive on Nitrox all over the world and extend your dive times.

Or perhaps you are thinking to get a career in diving, in which case the next step would be to continue your training with the Divemaster diving coursewith New way diving
